Danball – thanks for your help. Now i have another issue: When the user login’s he is getting authenticated and the roles are synchronized but after this he is immediately logout. I can’t find a post with this issue.

The server is a Win2003 with IIS6. In web.config i follow the steps for win authentication <authentication mode="Windows" /><identity impersonate="true" /> .. etc,,. i login and then I’m logout immediately

In a mixed-mode environment (what you described previously), you need to set it for "forms" authentication, and leave the "impersonate" line commented out.   Basically, you pretty much leave the web.config at it's default settings.

On another note, if I remember right, the <identity impersonate="true"/> line basically means you run the webserver (that session) using the user's account instead of the NETWORK SERVICE account credentials.

While there are some instances of this being preferable, I would think that the vast majority of people would benefit from leaving this line commented out.  DNN has it's own set of security roles, and using AD credentials to run the website would probably cause more problems than solve.
