Hi,

I migrated DNN to a new server. I basically copied the entire application directory and restored the database on a new database. Now I'm getting upgrade errors (I'm not trying to uograde:

DotNetNuke Upgrade Error

The Assembly Version ( [ASSEMBLYVERSION] ) does not match the Database Version ( [DATABASEVERSION] )

ERROR: Could not connect to database.

login failed for user intranet.

Any ideas?

Kind regards,

Marc

you need to grant the necessary permisions on your sql server and adopt the connection strings in your web.config file accordingly.

Yes, of course and so I have. I can logon to the SQL Server directly with the uid/password no problem. This is my connection string.

<connectionStrings>
    <add name="SiteSqlServer" connectionString="Data Source=INTRANET\SQLExpress;Database=Intranet;uid=intranet;pwd=*****;"
      providerName="System.Data.SqlClient" />
  </connectionStrings>

<appSettings>
    <add key="SiteSqlServer" value="Data Source=.\SQLExpress;Database=Intranet;uid=intranet;pwd=abc1234567;" />

Any other ideas? Perhaps I should just reboot, I changed the user/pass after first trying to connect. But I did restart IIS.

Kind regards,

Marc

I was an idiot. I referenced an old server. It has been resolved now.
