I currently using Version 4.0.1 of Dotnetnuke and my question is about the Default.aspx page.  Can someone let me know why the following is in the page.

'encrtype=multipart/form-data'

I trying to use a testing software to load test the site, but it doesn't support multipare/form-data.  Can I remove this for testing purposes.  I just need to understand why this is in there.

Thanks!

I don't know this to be abolutely true, but if I had to guess I'd say it has to do with the upload component.  Since all pages on dnn use default.aspx, you need it to allow uploading.

Enctype (encoding type) specifies the media type of the underlying data.
