Hi,

I just created a custom registration module and user profile module. I just thought do I have to do a server.htmencode to all the textboxes that I have added and then do a htmldecode when populating textboxes/ labels? Or is there an easier way?

thanks

That's what I was thinking.

Typically, this is the pattern I've seen suggestd (which is different than how DNN's text/Html module works)

The first question is are you accepting Rich text (that can include Html markup or not). Assuming that you are not accpeting Markup and you are using just a plain textbox:

On input, take the user data. Save it to the db in its raw form

On Edit, get the user data in raw form from db, set textbox.text to raw data

On Display, get the raw data from db, Html encode and present in web browser.

See http://www.accidentalarchitect.com/Home/tabid/68/EntryID/19/Default.aspx which may be helpful.
