I am trying to separate my root and sub menu atm. So I created two instances of the solpartmenu, one horizontal with rootonly="true" and then another one at my left sidebar, vertically aligned and generally it works. But now there's the problem that I do not want to have the root menu displayed in the second one, so I set it to level="child". But with level="child" there's the problem, that I do not have the other items of the sub menu displayed, when I open a sub item. So I would need to display level="child" when viewing the root and level="same" when viewing a child. At least I think so.

Is this possible in an easy way, maybe with an if handler or something like that? I am more of a designer than a coder (regarding vb.net and other windows things), so I'd be happy if someone could help me with this :-)

Thanks in advance,

Arne
