Hi,

I have a workflow application that has a number of roles assigned to various tasks.....

Assigning the role class visiblity to the module/page is the obvious solution for the case where any member of the role class can view the common data.

One of tasks needs to be picked up by individual members of a role class so a poor solution would be to create a specific role for each member and assign that to the 'personalized' page. That individual member can then view the data that is particular to them.

I guess that that there's a better way to do this..... any ideas??

Thanks,

Duncan.

You could build an admin page where someone assigns tasks to users.  Rather than using a role, you would simply write you application so the personalized tasks get assigned at the user level.  You could either do it so one task = one user or you could assign one task to multiple users.  Either way, when that user logs in, they would see all the stuff for their role + whatever was assigned to them personally.
