Hi,

This seems to be a fundamental problem but can't seem to find anyone else here who has had the issue.

Basically, with Windows Authentication, the usernames end up all looking like DOMAINNAME\UserName.

Say we have 800 of these. We then go to click Admin->User Accounts from within DotNetNuke, and all 800 users are listed under the "D" tab (as users are listed by username). Previous versions of DNN would order by FirstName instead.

Is there something I am missing here?

What do I need to do to either a) not have the DOMAINNAME prefix on the usernames, or 2) have the User Accounts page list by FirstName instead?

This is all fairly cruicial when you are dealing with a large number of users!

Thanks in advance,
Hamish.

No, you're not the only one experiencing this issue...  I have about 3000 accounts like that, and all of them are listed under the same letter.

I fixed the issue myself.  I posted the solution in this thread.
