We need to implement a site that provides the means to view the interface as well as all content in both English and French.  I know DNN supports language packs but I have never used them.  Does anyone have any info on how to make a fully bilingual site using DNN?

you need 3rd party modules to achieve true multilingual (ML) portals, e.g. from Locopon or Apollo Software. You may have a look at an ML portal at www.DeutschNetNuke.de. There are several additional ideas here in this forum.

Thanks.  I guess the only real way to do it now with the core modules would be to run two seperate sites and maintain their content in sync with both english and french versions.

Is there any means to have two portals like this but be able to share users and also uploaded content such as images or would they basically be seperate in all ways?

Hi,

Apollo and Locopon modules work great for bi lingual sites , definitely worth a try

Thanks.  I guess the main issues are, if I am correct are:

- The skin must be language independant

- Only the announcements and html modules support multiple languages

Is this a fair assumption?

The sample site has very limited content so it is hard to tell.
