I am trying to remove the arrows that indicate if there is a submenu from the ROOT ITEMS ONLY.  I want to keep the submenu arrows in the submenus only.  In my XML file I can set the "usearrows" option to false but that kills them in the sub menus as well.  Any ideas on this?  Thanks!

Try using the following options to get the effect you want.

rootbreadcrumbarrow = "spacer.gif" (a transparent image, you may have to specify a path depending on you settings)

submenubreadcrumbarrow = "arrow.gif" (you may have to specify a path depending on you settings)

Let me know if this works for you, if not try using the new Navigation Provider instead. Documentation is available at

download the Skinning Guide and the Navigation WebControls for detailed reference.

No, changing those images did not work.  The arrow I am talking about is not a breadcrumb, but a submenu indicator.  In the XML file, the settings to change the submenu arrows are "rightarrow" and "downarrow".  Removing one and adding the other is a possible solution but unfortunately I am using a vertical SolPartMenu; so the "rightarrow" setting would kill two birds with one stone.  Thank you anyways =)
