I am using different versions of DotNetNuke for more than 3 years now, and frankly I am very satisfied with it, and so are my customers, I used to it to build many sites from basic content-only websites to complex systems.
As for the knowledge base, these forums are the great resource, if you search you can find many answers to your question, and till now I got answers to all of the questions I posted.

Thanks to core team and the great community.

I really do like DotNetNuke a lot! I would say that if you are an ASP.NET developer, DotNetNuke works great and lays down an excellent framework for you with security roles, user registration, subscriptions, etc. Once you learn the basics of module development you are not tied down to to finding DNN specific help. Any questions you may have probably relate more toward general ASP.NET development, so answers can be found everywhere. DNN saves me a lot of time when I want to develop a web application. Call me crazy, but I think developing modules is a lot of fun. DNN is very flexible. You can do anything with it.

I can tell you that the only thing I don't like about DNN is the way the forums work here. It is so odd that it is such a step back from how forums work on every other site. We should be able to get instant responses with moderaton coming after. There have been may posts about this, but it's still the only negative thing I can say about DNN. Is this not how every other forum online works? The team here is great, but I would love to see my post the second I hit submit as that is what I'm used to. Well, one more negative: The "Normal" CSS class and random divs, even when you don't display the container, being injected EVERYWHERE. Makes me want to cry.

I still <3 DNN
