I have a client who's constantly running into problems with users registering on his website.  It seems the subscription doesn't fully process.

Paypal will transfer the money, but DNN doesn't update the user's subscriptions.  I seemed to have a problem before, and then upgraded 3.3.5 and then Everything seemed to work fine.

But now again, he's had a user "register" but the process was incomplete.  Money transacted in PayPal but the subscription wasn't added to the user.  My assumption is that the user is not allowing the site to redirect back from paypal to finish the transaction.

Does anyone have any suggestions to make this step an obvious necessity for these users?  Here's a link to the site: http://www.fitworkz.com any suggestions are welcome.

Or could I be missing some other aspect?

Thanks in advance.

Andy

Andy-

You should try the subscription module from www.ventrian.com. I have it set up on my website and have different subscription levels (or you can have only one) and it will redirect the person to your paypal account and then direct them back after payment and add them to a specific role. It works great for me!

Stephanie,

Thanks for the reply.  I do have Scott's module, but it's from about a year ago.  It is being used to display different content for different logged in subscriptions.

But please correct me if I'm wrong, doesn't DNN have the subscription signup and payment processing already implemented in the core?

I'm thinking it's the end users signing up, are not waiting for the postback to the DNN site they are subscribing to, so the users aren't being updated on the site..... (meat heads!)

Does anyone else have a similar problem?

Yes, you are right. You could set in up in DNN I believe. Set up the fees, roles, and expiration dates. I haven't tried implementing it that way.
