Hello everyone!

Could somebody please help me out?

I´m trying to install DotNetNuke 2.1.2 on my domain (this old version because i want to use MS Access). I use a web hosting company called Box Hosting (www.box.se). You can see the error messag on www.bbque.se (my domain). I don´t now what to do? You can see the instructions from the DNN 2.1.2 documentation below. But i doesn´t say anything about installing it on a web host...

What do i have to do?

Thanks in advance,
best regards Bjorn, Malmoe

--------------------------------------

Documentation:

"Clean Installation

- .NET Framework must be installed ( http://www.asp.net/ibuyspy/CheckDotNet.aspx )
- unzip package into C:\DotNetNuke
- create Virtual Directory in IIS called DotNetNuke which points to the directory where the DotNetNuke.vbproj file exists
- make sure you have default.aspx specified as a Default Document for your Virtual Directory
- depending on your choice of database you must have the necessary software installed on your server and you must create the database:
  - MS Access ( default )
    - you need to ensure you have the latest Microsoft JET 4.0 Database Engine installed
      - browse to http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=239114
    - the database file ( DotNetNuke.mdb.resources ) will be created automatically
  - browse to localhost/DotNetNuke in your web browser
- the application will automatically execute the necessary database scripts"

Hello,

Isn´t there anybody here who can help me out? I have a new error message (see below).

The documentation doesn´t say anything about installing on web host. I would be really glad if someone could give me a hand! I uploaded the 2.1.2-files to my web host (directly in the wwwroot-folder). I have uploaded a ms access database called DotNetNuke.mdb (where shall i put it?). I have tried to give read/write/delete access to all folders and files. What shall i do now? How do i get the connection to my empty ms access database to work?

//Bjorn

My error message (visit www.bbque.se if you like):

DotNetNuke Upgrade Error

The Assembly Version ( [ASSEMBLYVERSION] ) does not match the Database Version ( [DATABASEVERSION] )

ERROR: Could not connect to database.

The Microsoft Jet database engine cannot find the input table or query 'DotNetNuke_GetPortals'. Make sure it exists and that its name is spelled correctly.

have you configured d:\customers\bbque.se\wwwroot\ as web or virtual directory in your IIS?

Hello!

Thanks for your reply. I have not configured it myself (i don´t think i can). This is the wwwroot that came with the account at my hosting provider (i have used it before for asp.net and html sites).

Shall i ask my hosting provider if the have configured it as a web or virtual directory in their IIS?

Best regards Bjorn
