Hi folks

i have developed a custom dnn module using visual studio 2005 template. Now i want to distribute it so that it can be used by others. Can anybody provide the steps to package my custom module?.

The problem is in vs 2003 the module and data provider will be as separate projects.

when i created a module using vs 2005 it created a folder named desktopmodules under that it allows to specify our cusom module name. At the same time we have the option in the projects application folder to specify the buisiness and data providers and did it compiled it without error.

Now how to put this module into the existing dotnet nuke site.

cheers

achyut

The DotNetNuke Module Developer's Manual has the steps in a very choppy uneasy to read format.  Basically, you build a .ZIP file (without including paths) with all of the project's files and the .dnn manifest file.  But there are a lot of nuances to this mainly having to do with whether you compiled the project into it's own .bin folder, etc..

I'm having troubles making heads or tails out of the manual myself, but you should at least try to read it.
