When a newly registered person attemps to logon to the portal the first time the system requires a verfication code.  The code is not sent to his/her email address.  therefore the person cannot Logon.  My server rep has attempted to fix the problem with no success.  I went to Log Review and found the  exception.  I attempted to send this exception to my email and I received the following general exception:
