You can display images from a news feed by creating a custom XSL Stylesheet and then select an XML element as the src attribute for the img HTML tag:

<img>
<xsl:attribute name="src">
<xsl:value-of select="profileThumbnail" />
</xsl:attribute>
</img>

Sorry, this may be old new, and info, but just getting back to looking at the forums to offer what help I can.

Anyway, looking into you issue, I think this post bears some relavance.  Take a look at this info:

www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/ForumsDotNetNuke/tabid/795/forumid/48/threadid/5264/threadpage/1/scope/posts/Default.aspx

The short answer  is you'll need to create a custom xsl stylesheet for use with this particular feed to render it fully.  Now, if you know nothing about how to do this type of thing, then take a look at the dnncreative site, also, mentioned in that post, to help you understand what feeds are about.

Also, this type of question appears frequently on the forums, especially, with using the default rss module that only supplies basic xsl transformation.  Search through the available posts, and most of these types of issues have solutions posted.

It's also worth mentioning that feeds vary from one to the other, and the basic DNN News Module (RSS) handles a very basic rendering.  Until the module upgrade is released, you will benefit from learning about xsl transformation to use feeds effectively.

Good luck, and let us know how it goes..

iwonder :)

Thats a good point iwonder but it seems I have been chasing my tail trying to get to grips with formatting my rss feeds to show pictures for a few hours now and all I think I need is a good example of an xml doc formatted by an xsl doc. If anyone knows of such a thing I would be very interested. Oh and if anyone knows of a good feed with images I'd like to hear about that as well thanks
