Installation Complete

  • I have db_ddladmin and db_securityadmin roles but still I get an error during installation of the MemberRole Provider.
  • Also upgrade to 03.02.03 results in an error.
  • Reports_4.3.1_Source results also in an error, this is the only source instead of install version, might that be the problem? (I read somewhere this gets fixed in 4.3.6? When willen 4.3.6 be released?)
  • My portal seems to work fine, however I do get a few errors:
    • When I try to access the host settings tab i get:
    • Error: Host Settings is currently unavailable.
      DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Request for the permission of type 'System.Net.DnsPermission, System, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089' failed. ---> System.Security.SecurityException: Request for the permission of type 'System.Net.DnsPermission, System, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089' failed. at System.Security.CodeAccessSecurityEngine.Check(Object demand, StackCrawlMark& stackMark, Boolean isPermSet) at System.Security.CodeAccessPermission.Demand() at System.Net.Dns.GetHostName() at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.Host.HostSettingsModule.BindData() at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.Host.HostSettingsModule.Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) The action that failed was: Demand The type of the first permission that failed was: System.Net.DnsPermission The Zone of the assembly that failed was: MyComputer --- End of inner exception stack trace ---
    • Are the db_datareader and db_datawriter role required, or do they come with ddl_admin automatically?
    • Will all modules work with a non dbo user?
    • What about 3rd party modules?

1. Ensure that your non .dbo database has the following permissions:

db_datareader

db_datawriter

db_ddladmin

db_securityadmin

2. The [ is misplaced in the code in 03.02.03 SQLDataProvider where the GetOnlineUser and GetOnlineUsers stored procedures are added.

 Select * from dbo.sysobjects where id = object_id(N'{databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}[GetOnlineUser]' It should read: {databaseOwner}[{objectQualifier}GetOnlineUser]
