hello slhilbert

i'm a new user in dnn ,so would you please describe it more,i got your files ,all i need is install activex controls?what about  security file? do i need to make change in the security file in my current dnn or it already has the file?i mean is it a new security file or not?

Raheleh_a,

Those install files are several years old.  They would work with DNN version 2.x or something like that.  To my knowledge there is no Novell authentication provider available at this time. 

With that said you should be able to look at my code and see what sort of changes I made to make it work.  But if you are using DNN 3.x or 4.x then you will pretty much have to start from scratch.

The approach I took was to use the Novell LDAP VB.NET library to authenticate my users against eDirectory.  If the user authenticated against eDirectory than I would either 1) create a new DNN User and set a password or 2) log user into DNN site with default password and username they provided.

Making the modification really wasn't too hard, it took maybe a week or so, and at the time I didn't program very much at all.
