You are correct, the applicationID doesn't match the DotNetNuke one. Does this mean that I am stuffed?  What exactly is it that I am likely to be missing from my tables?  I take backups every night so I might have the ability to retrieve some stuff but I'm not sure whether this particular portal was in existence at the point that a backup was taken.

The fact that you have an aspnet_Membership record with an applicationID that doesn't match the DotNetNuke application is actually good news. That is what I was saying you needed in my post before. Reread what I said in the post starting "You are probably stuffed...."

A footnote to this problem .....

I upgraded a test installation of DNN to 4.3.6 and deleted a portal. As well as aspnet_Membership records being lost for users who were registered in this and other portals, the affected users are also loosing their aspnet_Users record.
