I might not understand exactly, what you need, but maybe you should have a look at Bo's Multi Page Content module, see www.dotnetnuke.dk.

The text field holds an html template for an email that gets sent out.  The module in question in an admin interface for sending emails.  So the text will not be shown as a standard text/html.  It will only be sent in an email.  Right now I'm holding the template in a file that I load, but I would like to use the Text/html editor to make changes instead of updating the file.  Bo's find module would not help me.  My problem does not concern multiple pages anyway.

Why don't you just make a table for your module and save it there using dal or dal+

I think that's my best option.  I was just wondering if there might be an easier way.  A table represents a fair amount of overhead just to save a single string.

ok, what about writing it out to a file.  if you are proposing to have multiple modules per tab and portal you will have to build the filename with tab and module id's in it.  Also then you can supply a default template in the form of a file.
