I have released a new beta of SQLGridSelectedView - a SQL Grid reporting module.  This version (4.0) has many new features over the previous version (3.4g).  The beta works with DNN 3.3.5+ and DNN 4.3.5+

Documentation for the new version has also been overhauled  - a 40+ PDF is viewable here - http://www.tressleworks.ca/Modules/SQLGridSelectedView/tabid/82/Default.aspx

Paul,

Your SQLGridSelectedView module has one of the best user interfaces I've seen.  It is very intuitive and very well thought out.  I use this module all over our corporate intranet and it has been a huge time saver.

Your module is an unbelievably generous contribution to the DotNetNuke community.

Keep up the good work and thanks a million.

Joe.

Many thanks for the Kind words ...

General questions to all  -- anyone interested in SQLGridSelectedView  V4.0 for DNN V2.12?  I have a few sites on V2.12 that I would prefer not to upgrade, but want the features  (Actually V2.12 is very fast and has a low overhead for simple sites)

Paul.

I have posted a new beta version SQLGridSelectedView at www.tressleworks.ca.  This latest version (V4.0e)  works with  DNN V3.3.5+ and/or DNN V4.3.5+  and has two new features that have been requested recently.

The first is a new inline function to create MailTo: links in the resulting Grid layout based on fields selected from the database.  Rather handy when creating contact lists etc.

The second feature is the ability to optionality alter the row style based on certain data conditons.  For example, you could change the text color to Red if a given column value exceeds a given value.  The style is applied to only the rows that match the "Style Expression".  See the revised documentation for the beta on my site.

I have also updated the dropdown filters to only postback when used with the "wait on above" functionality.

Additionally, I have corrected several issues discovered in the previous betas.

Enjoy. Paul.

Oh, any Yes, I will be releasing a version that will run on DNN V2.12.

I have posted another beta version of SQLGridSelectedView at www.tressleworks.ca  This latest version (V4.0f) works with V2.12 (!!!!) and V3.3.5+ and V4.3.5+.

I have revised the SQL Parser to better handle sub-queries within the select, plus the In-line functions have been reworked to improve the functionality.  Also I have added the ability to change the GridLine color.

As I mentioned in a previous post, I was considering making a V2.12 compatable module. Well I have created it -- it is nice to have this module on my older sites.. This version is a separate module available for download.

Also, I have corrected the issue with the dropdown selection causing a post-back when using a single GO-button.

Do enjoy.  This should be the final beta, before going final.

Paul.
