Usng DNN 4.3.5. I have 2 portals. In one I have an announcements module which I set to "allow syndication". In the other I added an RSS Feed module and put the URL of the .xml output by the announcements module in the first portal as the source feed.

When I press update the second portal shows the Feed correctly, however if I add a new announcement to the first portal it doesn't appear in the second one. How do I get it to automatically update?

This was obviously a timing issue. After about 30 minutes the RSS on the other portal updated OK. Must be to do with the scheduler interval I guess.

I am having the same problem with this setup.  Does anyone know how to fix this delay issue?  is there a setting that can be changed to make this update happen right away?

I *think* I found my answer.  In Host -> Schedule there is a setting for the Search engine scheduler

DotNetNuke.Services.Search.SearchEngineScheduler, DOTNETNUKE

This is currently set to every 30 minutes.  From what I understand, changing this value will affect the refresh rate of the RSS.  I could not find a setting to refresh each time the Announcement module was updated, but it did refresh after 30 minutes.  I do not update enough to warrant changing that value, so I will leave it at that.

Please see the Internet Explorere settings and reduce the RSS feed time to 15 min
