I have some clients that need to log into a site I built for them using Safari or firefox on a mac... very odd things happen..

1. There appears to be some solpart java at the bottom of the rendered page

2. None of the dropdown menus for editing a module appear in their browser even though they are logged in.

Any ideas?

Have you tried the new DNN Nav menu? I've not tried it in a Mac - I wish I could justify buying one but alas that's not the case at the moment.

However, there are some other menu alternatives I think you can add to make managing using a Mac. Thinks like the House menu might work? I'm not sure, but you could even look at the http://www.inventua.com menu, the http://www.snapsis.com CSS menu.  You could use the Links skinobject as I use on my site - http://www.xd.com.au which has only single level navigation.

Yes I understand your predicament, I remember about 2 years ago visiting a client and OOOH no menu - they had a Mac - I was quite embarrassed, and that's another reason I dropped the menu from my site for now. But perhaps the DNN Nav menu has been written to be more responsive, as I know Jon Henning has made some big steps forward.   You can view his examples on http://webcontrols.dotnetnuke.com

Also you might like to consider http://www.telerik.com menus as I have been told they are very compliant.

I have a Free DNN Nav Menu skin on my site - it's XDNN-Light Blue / Grey

Hope this gives you some more things to work with.
