Hello,

In one of my modules I need to call a custom page and pass in some params. I currently use:

DotNetNuke.Common.Globals. this.ModulePath + "EventCalExport.aspx?ID=" + eventID.ToString()

but then this obviously always renders as
"...EventCalExport.aspx?ID=xxx" in the URL. Is there a core function that takes in a URL and checks the site setting and converts to a FriendlyURL if necessary? I found a method in Common that outputs friendly URLs but you need to know the Tab and this is a page (exports events to vCalendar format).

Hi Rodney,

NavigateURL() is the function, but as you said it needs a tabid as a parameter, there are some other overloads, but not one for an outside page.

Why do you need to format an outside page into a FURL?  Are you having trouble getting the path using ModulePath?

Thanks for the reply John - I have to use an .aspx page and not a user control as it is an RSS processing page and needs to dump out an RSS feed (I've got a couple of pages like this where it's an actual page and not a usercontrol that inherits from ModuleBase (or whatever it is).

I understand using an external page, I was just wondering why you needed a Friendly Url link to it.
You should be able to just call it directly using the ModulePath.
Keep in mind also that you will want to pass a portalid or tabid on the querystring to any external page or the user will be logged out.
