Is there any kind of document management in DNN, such as archiving and document specific permissions. We are wanting to allow users to view documents, where specific users have security to upload new documents, edit existing documents, delete documents, retrieve archived documents, etc.  The original and modified documents need to be archived with a timestamp and user stamp.

This is not built into DNN. However there is a very good 3rd party module called Document Exchange (DMX) which I think has all the features you want.

We are working on a document management module that will offer these features as well.

It is in beta 2 right now, so permissions can only be set at Role level.  We plan to add user level features shortly.

You can read more and  download the beta for free here: http://www.opendnn.com/nbspnbspnbspnbspOpenDocumentLibraryBeta/FeaturesBeta/tabid/313/Default.aspx

Best Regards,

Andreas
