Hello,

I just tried to upgrade to the latest version from 4.3.5 to 4.3.6, followed the instructions for copying all the information from my web config to release.config, renaming release.config to web.config and running the install.aspx?mode=install page. I get the screen that says upgrading and it says the upgrade was a succes, but now I can't browse to any page. I just get Internet Explorer cannot display this page.

Interestingly enough, when I check this page in ie6 (I was using ie7) the status bar shows it is bouncing around two pages never settling. And when I look at this in firefox I get the following:

The page isn't redirecting properly

Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

      *   This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept
          cookies.

Does anybody have any idea what's going on. I don't have any strange portal aliases only the default localhost one I don't know where the homepage is trying to redirect to. I'm confused. Please help.

I'm having the same problem. I installed DNN 4.3.6 and it goes fine with no errors and then I click the link to access my portal and it does what cankersore described above.

I'm really lost on this one, so I'd apreciate the help.

This is due to a bug in 4.3.6 . There is a fix described here:
