Aloha,

I have seen various posts relating to internal links being included as full or relative urls when inserted via FCK editor and that there is a configuration setting that controls this behaviour. Invariably the response to this issue says somthing like "there is a checkbox that controls this behavior" or "FullUrl was implemented to control this behavior" or "go to the custom options page to change this setting".

I have FCK provider 1 0 6 and DNN 435 and no where can i find this setting: it is not in the provider xml in web config or on the settings page of the fck editor or in any of the js files as far as i can see (unless it has a funny name ;-)).

Could you please direct me to where I can find and control this setting as it is paramount to the success of our current project.

Many thanks for your time and a great solution to rich text editing.

TG.

The full URL is only created automatically for images

1) Enter text edit to make the editor visible

2) Click at the link named "Show custom editor options" located after the editor box (Below)

3) Expand the section named "Other editor options"

4) Check the option named: "Full image path"

Thanks for the response and clarification.

I am however suffering the same issue as various others seem to be in that links that i create in fck to internal pages via the user interface are created as complete urls rather than relative. This can be confirmed by looking at the source for the editor. This is causing us immense problems as we are creating a site wihtin a development environment and need to deploy the same site in a production environment under a different domain hence all our links would break.

Can you please help us?

Here is a work-around for your problem. After you select the internal page as you link, the link properties page is still open.
Change the link protocol from http to other and remove the domain part of the url. This should leave you with a relative link to the page.
