Hi

I am very new in DNN,

I managed to install DNN DotNetNuke_4.3.6_Install.zip in my local machine without any problem and I can get into portal page,

I also manaeged to install this in our webserver Win2003 Server,  and got success for all the installation steps. But when I want to open the portal, I get "The page cannot be displayed"

I created a .Net 2 website in our webserver and created a virtual machine. I granted full control permission to Netword Services and ASPNET, Guest User and IIS.

The website is not in port 80 and I created in different port.

Copied below from another post ... you may want to search on this topic "UsePortNumber".   Hope this helps.  /Paul 

In web.config you can add an application setting:

    <add key="UsePortNumber" value="True" />

There was a change in 4.3.6 to strip the port number by default when matching the PortalAlias. This was done to prevent development environment issues with the Cassini web server which generates port numbers dynamically ( resulting in constant support issues logged in Gemini and in these forums ). I believe we could improve this by checking the Request.IsLocal attribute as well ).
