Hi

this is a very basic question, but really i can't find out what to do now.

I installed DDN 4 on win2003 and configured it to work with ms express db with the help of a nice video. Now I have no idea about how to set up my website.

Typing my localhost address I enter on the default.aspx page of DDN. I can enter as host or admin. I can add pages and modules and everything is nice. But can't understand how to build my website without the DNN logo and the control panel above. I'm trying to build an html page with only a simple hallo world which will load when I call my localhost. I tried also to delete the default.aspx page but without success. I made some new portals but when loggin I'm always having a wrong userid/psswrd problem, also if they are correct.

Totaly stuck. Hope for some help to start using this nice tool. Thanks. Bye. Jo.

Jo,

When logged in, look for the Admin menu.
One of the choices in that menu is Site Settings.
In Site Settings you will find how to get rid of the logo, or replace it with a logo of your own.
(Note: The control panel is only present when someone is logged in as admin or host.  Anyone else visiting your site when it goes live, cannot see the control panel, unless they have special user permissions as an administrator.)

In Site Settings, be sure to expand all sub-options such as 'Other' and 'Advanced'.  You'll discover a lot in there.
Also under site settings, you can choose a splash screen, which you can compose as a generic HTML document (outside of DNN) using any HTML editor.

Thanks,
Travis
