Does that mean that with Dynamic Registration you *must* ask the user for the minimum registration info to fill at least the DNN core Register fields (UserName, Last & First Names, Display Name and Password)? Is that the requirement, that you must map a value to each of those fields?

If a problem can be solved, there's no use worrying about it.
If it can't be solved, worrying will do no good.

I don't know anything about the Dynamic Registration product, but I'd have to say 'Yes' ...because all of the registration fields are required at a minimum to create a dnn account.

there are several ways i think you can do this.  the two easy ways i can think of require custom modules.  (1) write a custom registration module and display the custom fields based on a dropdown member type or something (2) use default registration stuff and use the minimal set registration fields.  then after registration point them to a tab that has a custom module that finishes their registration process.
