I am looking into using the Repository module to create a business directory on my website and was looking for a little help.

Does anyone have a sample of a business directory that they have created on their website?

Also does anyone have the sample repository settings (Category, Attributes, and Attribute values) that they used to create a business directory?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

There are third party business modules available - http://www.dotnetjedi.com -with a range of different directory style modules.

However, it would be interesting to see how people have used this module to extend it in the manner you are looking for.

Hi, I have the dotnetjedi business directory module on my website. I decided to go with this module because it was a lot more flexible than the repository module for what I needed it for. I wanted to have specific fields that I could not add with the repository module. You can take a look at my directory under the "local businesses" tab on my website: www.wisweddingplanner.com. The business directory module is very flexible and works really good.

I looked at those modules, and none of them fit our needs, so I used the core module "User Defined Table" to create our personnel rosters.  It works really good, and the newer versions are extremely flexible, with all sorts of field variations.  Basically it is a web-based spreadsheet.

Definitely worth a look!
