We have a strange big problem these days. We have a dnn 435 site which hosted about 100 portals. When visited ,it display error messages:

"The timeout period elapsed prior to obtaining a connection from the pool. This may have occurred because all pooled connections were in use and max pool size was reached".

When run sp_who2 in sql server 2000,it display about 200 connection process, most of these process are made by this dnn site ,and the status are all "sleeping".

After I modified web.config ,add this line into connectstring :  max pool size= 300,  The site works, but a few hours it crashes again.

We do have many customer modules in this site ,but all of them are using the same data access approach like other dnn modules. I think it may due to connection leak.  But I cann't find where it is .  Any sugguestion ?

      Thanks!

I have this same problem.  I can't figure out why there are so many connections.  It must have something to do with the modules we are using, otherwise I would think lots of others would have this same problem.

On my Home Page, I am using the following modules, which are all from third parties.  Are you using any of the same modules?

Bonosoft - Link module (from here: http://www.dotnetnuke.dk/Default.aspx?tabid=226)

Articles module (from here: http://www.efficionconsulting.com/DotNetNuke/Modules/Articles/tabid/352/Default.aspx)
