UPDATE: The suggestion by BarryS in the 4th post solved my problem. We pointed the Hosts file on the local server to match the new DNS; thus allowing me to log in locally on the server and add the new Portal alias to DNN.
I think I am. Sorry if this is a dumb question. I just don't have time to serch for the answer. The site is down. Help me, I am an idiot.
I had to move my DNN server to a new building. So now it has a new IP and a new URL. But I did not set it up ahead of time in the Host menu/Site settings of DNN4. And for somoe reason, even using /localhost will not bring up my portals. Where can I change something to get back in.
Example - Server was on 100.100.100.98 with dummy.com for the url. I set that up in DNN4 and it was working fine
Nowthe server is on 100.100.98.97 with bigdummy.com as the url. When I browse local host on the server, I get page not found for DNN. It I turn DNN off and thurn on a simple generic web, browing locally and to bigdummy works, so I know IIS is accepting requests.
Do I need to open a table in SQL to change something?
