I have done exactly that. Before I posted. That is why I said "my moderator".

I have a user. He is my test user. He is set as Moderator. EACH forum is to his to moderate.. I've tried one forum. All of them.. having all of them checked and not the "Discussion" (group) folder. All of them check AND the folder.. only the folder. There is NO WAY I can get a non-admin person to see the "Move/Delete" buttons.

This is why I said my moderator does see the Edit button. I can get the user to be able to Edit anyone's post which seems to say he is getting some privileges, but not the Move and Delete buttons part of the Moderator status.. only the Edit buttons.

So, isn't this correct. I have a properly working forum. Registered users can post. My admin users can Move/Delete/Moderate, etc.. all that funcational works. But not for a user I set to Moderator.

Under Form Administration - Forum Users - (Edit My User) - Admin Settings -
Is Trusted - Checked!
Is Moderator - Checked!
Is Global Moderator - Checked!
Moderated Forums (which they are not set moderated btw but that doesn't matter, right?)
Folder - Discussions - Checked!
Staff Only (a forum) - Checked!
CBR Members Only (a forum) - Checked!
(They are set to moderate every forum, 5 in all)

What am I missing?

Redneck versions of what I have discovered plowing thru the forum module trying to figure out stuff. Hope it saves folks some time searching for what ain't in the docs:
===

Only an Admin can nuke a post. Don't seem logical compared to ALL the other packages out there but it just be's that way. It would be a good thing to fix that, a really good thing.

===

Once it's posted, it's nailed to the wall unless you're an admin or mod. Users are SOL editing their posts. Weird... Another really good thing if it was fixed....

===

Moderate Button: Don't do squat unless you set the forum up to be moderated which in this module only means somebody has to approve a post before it shows up in the forum. It means moderate but not really, really, really moderate like ALL the other forum packages out there, but just "kinda" like moderate. No Kung Fu to nuke/edit/etc...

===

No way to mondo nuke an entire thread. Don't really understand that one... That would really be a good one to fix.

===

Jump through hoops to nuke a post even if you're God mode. Does God HAVE to give a reason to whack something?

===

No function to prune (ie. age out old messages) forums. Database just gets bigger and bigger and bigger... Kinda like Windows... :P

===

Just trying to be constructive (because I really like DNN) and let others know what I have already found out the long way because it ain't in the docs. Maybe it will save someone the time looking for it....
