Hi,

I have the problem that I need to show special Characters i.e. ä, ö, ü, Ä, Ö, Ü and ß.

at the moment all the characters are displayed as codes, although the language is set to deutsch and the computers the site runs on are in deutsch.

I tried:

strContent = strContent.Replace("Ä", "Ä")
strContent = strContent.Replace("Ö", "Ö")
strContent = strContent.Replace("Ü", "Ü")
strContent = strContent.Replace("ä", "ä")
strContent = strContent.Replace("ö", "ö")
strContent = strContent.Replace("ü", "ü")
strContent = strContent.Replace("ß", "ß")

but that just causes an error.

Please help!?!?!

Thanks in advance,

Lee

I don't have this issue with any module. I you have this issue with your own created module, check the database to use nVarChar instead of varchar to store special characters in UTF-8 format.

If your problem resides on friendly url’s, the best way is configure your portal not to use this functionality.
You can also check your web.config in section globalization

Thanks for the reply.

I only use nvarchar, so that can't be the Problem.

Our Web Designer had reported the Problem, but I myself could not reproduce the Problem.

could there be something with his Machine?

Thanks
Lee
