Hi

I have received a reply from Joe Brinkman, DNN Co-Founder and CTO, and have posted it below to balance this topic. I'm sure Joe would want you to read his response to this question, and I am pleased that he has taken time to reply:

"We chose AspDotNetStorefront because of their extensive feature set that is unmatched by anything currently offered for DNN.  AspDotNetStoreFront also committed to developing a DNN version of their product as part of our partnership.  While we support the vendors within the DNN ecosystem, we also recognize that the current vendors do not always meet everyone’s needs.  Part of the mission of DotNetNuke Corporation is to not only foster growth within the existing community of developers, but also look for opportunities to bring in some established ASP.Net vendors into the DotNetNuke community as well.  We feel that providing more choices to our customers is a good goal that is worthy of our efforts."

Thanks for clearing that up!

Please be aware, that you need a reliable and powerful store, to sell the tons of modules and skins available at the Marketplace ;)

Cheers from Germany,

I didn't really know where to post this and it was the only thing I found about the marketplace when I did a search. I hope the setup can be configured to either slow down the display of the premium listings (the ones that show up then disappear to show another) or reduce the amount of wording in the description. I was reading a couple of listings and was getting frustrated because I couldn't  finish reading the one I was interested in and waited for it to cycle around again. I eventually figured out that you could mouse-over it and make it pause, but this is something many people won't do.

I don't know if AspDotNetStore has an option to control the display of each individual item or it has to be set globally, but it would be nice if whoever is in charge of setting it up could either post that it can be paused when you mouse over or set the delay time to allow the viewer to read the listing on the screen (or shorten the listing to match the brief viewing time).

I am building my own store based on DNN Store with features needed by an existing eCommerce store (deadline end of January '07). I had to go this way since this eCommerce shop is using Navision in the backoffice with a different price strategy for every European country. Also offline payment processing instead onlin. Also every customer group can have its own discount and price ranges. These features and the fact they need a different child portal for every country had me made it all tailor made....If all runs fine I am willing to sell it. But take into account that I cannot offer it for a lousy 200 USD's or free. If 1.000 users would pay that amount, that would be fine...:-). Also for a 200 USD's I think I cannot give support. Maybe it is an idea to extends it functionality with other developers around The Netherlands, Belgium or Germany...??

Hi Jelle, I am from Germany and I've just read this post. I am interested, since we also need a shop which uses Navision in the Backoffice. How could we get in contact?
