Hi everyone.
I have two queries, if anyone can help me.

1) Is there any perforamnce difference Dot Net Nuke running on SQL 2000 or SQL 2005 Expresss Edition?

2) Locally, I was successfully running Dot Net Nuke 4.3 with inbuilt SQL Express 2005 Support in VS 2005. Will this DB File in APP_Data will work on live without purchasing SQL Server 2005 Exprees Edition?

Thanks

You might get less performance out of SQL Express, depending on your server spec and how much load you put it under.

SQL Express on a server with more than one processor will only use one of the processors. Also, on a server with more than 1GB of memory, will only use up to 1GB of memory. Commercial SQL Server editions (Workgroup, Standard, Enterprise for 2000/2005) can utilize multiple processors and more memory (varies with edition).

Therefore if you have a server with more than one processor or more than 1GB of memory, and you anticipate your site having a lot of load put on it, SQL Express will not perform as well as other SQL Server editions. See http://www.microsoft.com/sql/prodinfo/features/compare-features.mspx for more.

There's also a limit with SQL Express on the maximum size of the database (4GB), but you are very unlikely to get even close to that with a DNN database.
