I am in the same situation.  Forums work for Q+A but it is very difficult to use as a knowledgebase.   We really need a way to build a cross linked documentation system that can be used not only for product documentation but for a way to index the content in the forums.  A wiki is really the only solution but the only commercial option out there is very minimal in its features.  I've looked at hooking in FlexWiki with DNN's auth model but that is not very clean.

I've tried downloading the DNN 2 version of WWWiki and have it ported to 3.x but the source distribution I've found on the web only builds one assembly (wikinet.dll) but another assemply is needed (wiki.dll) which I don't see any code to port.

If anyone has the full source distribution for the 2.x version, I'd love to get a copy and try to port myself in the interum.

-Joe

*ears perk up*

WWWiki? are you sure that's the Module you found source for? If so do you mind pointing me in the direction of that download? I don't mean to be a spoil sport but WWWiki is not redistributable and there are 3.x versions of it available (its sold via snowcovered).  Thats the only reason I ask.

Thanks

Joe - if you are referring to Jonathan de Halleux's dotnetwiki.org module (that this project is based on) not the WWWiki module, then I have the original DNN 2.X source code for it. There are two projects as I remember - one for the WikiNet assembly and one for the Wiki assembly.

How can I get it to you?

Wouldn't it be better if the DNN::Wiki team would release what they have at the moment (albeit not working) so that people can take a look and suggest ideas ? Last I heard, they almost had a compiling version for DNN 3.x. That would probably be much more useful to look at than the DNN2.x version of the old wiki module no ?

I agree that if we can support Chris with his code we should. Joe - I'll give you the code I have if its useful to the project, but it would be better if you can get Chris's code and help him with whatever problem he has.
