The comment line in web.config says about this key, 'Host Header to remove from URL so "www.mydomain.com/johndoe/Default.aspx" is treated as "www.mydomain.com/Default.aspx".'

So, if you have DNN installed in a subfolder, and the URL in the browser reads, "http://www.mydomain.com/johndoe/Default.aspx" what exactly is the form of the key value that'll make it appear as "www.mydomain.com/Default.aspx"?

I've tried "johndoe" and "/johndoe" -- these don't seem to work.  Any suggestions?

This is baffling me a little too!
How's it work exactly?
Do I have to do something clever with the website alias as well as with the HostHeader setting? Do I have to do something in IIS too?
Thanks for any help or advice...

I too would love to get some advice on how to use this key in web.config.

Please help with some pointers.

Thanks

Mark

Hi,

I am also having the same problem.  Has anyone successfully configured this parameter?

Thanks,

Sean
