Hi,

On one of my sites, one particular user (an administrator) is intermittently loggout of the site after re-directing to another page on the site.   I had to see it for myself to believe - and he is indeed getting logged out of the site simply by clicking on a link and re-directing to another page on the site.

He is using IE6 a shis broswer - and the site is version 4.3.5

When I login with his credentials on any of my PC's - using both Firefox and ID6 and 7, I cannot replicate this behaviour.

This has me baffled.  Any ideas on what may be happening?

Al

Hello,  This site is running under ASP.NET 2.  This is an isolated issue where one administrative user is being logged out when re-directing to other pages with in the same site.

Note, this is the parent portal - there are no child portals.

Has anyone experienced this?  I can't be the only one...

It sounds like a configuration issue with his cookies.  Has he seen this with other sites that remember logins?  Has he tried it with an alternate browser, like Firefox?

I haven't messed with the cookie configuration in any of my browsers.  I'm not sure what setting could be causing this.  But I'd guess the cookie is either expiring or is being deleted.

Check for ZoneAlarm personal firewall.  It mangles auth cookies in Asp.Net.
