Hi,

I keep getting a critical error message. It actually appears to be quite random.  The forums work, it is just every now and then a critical error message is displayed (exclamation mark at the top of the current page).  Is this a known problem?

Liz

Can you look at the log viewer as host and post the exception?

Sorry, a bit more info might be helpful:

The actual error displayed is:

A critical error has occurred.

Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

I got it today when I tried to reply to a thread, it bounced me back to the Forum Home page with the above error.  It seems to happen the first time you post after logging in.

Let me know if you need more info.

Thanks

Liz

Liz, I need to see the error shown in the Admin -> Log Viewer when this happens. Sometimes you may need to be logged in as host to know exactly what is going on. Also, If you are using DNN 3.2 and the Forum 3.20.8 you might have an issue right there as that forum version requires 3.3.x.

Oh.  Well that might explain the critical errors, but otherwise it works fine.  Are you not supporting 3.2?

In case it helps the error is as follows:
