Hey,

I was just wondering if anyone has ever ran into a problem with configuring the web.config.
Now when I type in the URL i get
DotNetNuke Upgrade Error.
The assembly version ( [ASSEMBLYVERSION] ) does not match the database version ( [DATABASEVERSION] )
Error: Could not connect to database.
The type initializer for 'DotNetNuke.Data.DataProvider' threw an exception.

Basically that is the error i am recieving I have overlooked other forums here at the DotNetNuke site and saw that some were similair but i think they do not answer my question on what I should do about this.

I believe it is coming from the error and the fact that I might be writting the web.config file wrong.
ConnectionString and all that so if you know to actually put in the web.config I woul dreally appriciate it thank you.

tim

Both the release.config and develop.config that come with DNN have valid examples, so I don't think an example would help you much.

What database server, including version and edition, are you connecting to?

Could you post your current ConnectionString, giving a dummy password like PWD or something?  Then maybe we could determine what is wrong with your ConnectionString.
