I'm making my first skin, I've read the skinning guide and exactly followed an example given. The problem is I cannot have more than one content pane.

This is the skin html:
<td background="images/bg_menu.jpg" height="504" valign="top" width="173">[CONTENTPANE:1][CONTENTPANE:2]

and the skin XML:
    <Object>
        <Token>[CONTENTPANE:1]</Token>
        <Settings>
            <Setting>
                <Name>ID</Name>
                <Value>Navigation</Value>
            </Setting>
        </Settings>
    </Object>
    <Object>
        <Token>[CONTENTPANE:2]</Token>
        <Settings>
            <Setting>
                <Name>ID</Name>
                <Value>SubNav</Value>
            </Setting>
        </Settings>
    </Object>

but whenever I upload this to dot net nuke it complains of having a non-unique identifyer for content pane. Can anyone help?

Thanks

I might try this and see how it looks:
<td background="images/bg_menu.jpg" height="504" valign="top" width="173">
<div id="Navigation" width="173" runat="server"></div>
<div id="SubNav" width="173" runat="server"></div>
</td>
