i read the first page of the install it sticky and it did not say anything about installing this. i ran the starter kit, i got to VS2005 vb, web, click on DotNetNuke Compiled Module and Ok. i get 85 errors and 33 warnings.. first warning is Warning 1 The referenced component 'DotNetNuke.Library' could not be found.
which means this is not installed because nothing says how to install it.. no readmes, no tutorials on this site.. i mean there must be something wrong with me cos its like this company doesnt want you to know how to use it. =[ so someone better link me to something or im going delete vs2005 and pay someone 30grand to make my simple site for my non profit company.. k..

oh well.. thats an error everyone bumps into  ;).. you have to rename either development.config, or release.config into web.config, MS deemed it usefull to put namespace references in the web.config file....

err.. no documentation? Surely you missed the docs download on the download page. You can dl all docs seperately from this page: http://www.dotnetnuke.com/About/Documentation/ProjectDocuments/tabid/478/Default.aspx

I reinstalled VS2005 and now the only way I can get this DotNetNuke to install is by using the out dated DotNetNuke_Installer_0[1].8 anbd this makes it so I have to put in www.mydomain.com/DotNetNuke to view it. how do I tell the installer to install into only the wwwroot, it will not allow this in setup. thanks.
