How do you select a parent list?  I can create a parent list, but the "Parent List:" field is ALWAYS greyed out and not selectable.  I can see where there would be a drop down list but it is never active.  How do you activate it?

I have the same problem. I would like to create a "Regions" list for South Africa, but am unable to select the "Parent List" - This functionality was working in DNN version 3.1, but from 3.3 and 4.x this is a problem.

this will be fixed in DNN 4.4.1

I also had the need to create some new lists and came across the same issue. After a bit of looking around, I came across the following post which fixed the issue for me:
