I no longer have any time to support my fixed and extended version of Store, so I'm making the source code freely available to download.

Details on the various extensions and downloads (for both a basic installation file and the full source code) can be found at http://www.emerald-solutions.co.uk (follow the links for the "WebWarehouse" product).

This code is made available subject to the following conditions:
  • I'm not able to provide support, so please don't ask, but the support section of my site has an FAQ for common questions about installation and usage.
  • This is totally separate from the Store development, and has nothing to do with any of the core store team so please don't ask them for support either.
  • I can't and won't be integrating my changes into the Store project at any time, this is a totally seperate module.
  • I've had a lot of customers get WebWarehouse into production, so the product does work, but if you find a new bug you'll have to fix it yourself.
  • Before you install the module, please make sure that you have the correct write permissions set on the Web.Config file.  Not doing this will cause you installation problems as the installation function attempts to write to the Web.Config half way though the process and will fail if access rights are not setup correctly.  This is especially a problem on GoDaddy! hosting accounts (where your account will not have the required write permissions in a default setup - requesting a virtual directory to be setup off your root may solve this).
I won't be spending much more time around these forums but I do hope that the Store module eventually fulfils it's potential.

Merry Christmas to you all!

Thanks Allan, understand the time difficulties... Your efforts to date may help some of us who wish to take the module forward ourselves due to neccesity.

Take care
Bryn

Hi guys,

I am kind of stuck. Since two days I am trying to set up a build environment for the WWStore. I went through the tutorials of creating new modules, but somehow they didnt explain how to add an existing module.

When I open the solution that is included in the source package of WWStore, I can not open all the web user controls (ascx) files, because VS doenst find the included files of DotNetNuke.

When I copy the project under DesktopModules and open the the whole DotNetNuke as Website then the website doesnt compile anymore.  get several error that types can not be loaded. example:
AuthorizeNetAdmin.ascx:
<%@ Control language="c#" CodeBehind="AuthorizeNetAdmin.ascx.cs" Inherits="DotNetNuke.Modules.WWStore.Cart.AuthorizeNetAdmin" AutoEventWireup="false" %>
VS 2k5 sais that it could not load type DotNetNuke.Modules.WWStore.Cart.AuthorizeNetAdmin although it is in the AuthorizeNetAdmin.ascx.cs file.

I dont have any more ideas how to set all up. I dont want to change anything in the WWStore, then compile it (with the included solution file), copy everything to the webserver and test it. It would work like that but you can imagine that it is not a good setup to add a few features.

Thanks for any help!

Florian
