Hi All,

I just started working with DNN (4.0.2) and so far it's been loads of fun. I'm really impressed by how powerful it is. Pretty cool. :-)
There's one thing I can't seem to figure out though:
I want to create a clickable link to another page on my site in the text of a module. So I click on "Edit text", select the words that have to become a link and then click the "Create link" button (the globe with a chain underneath). Then I get a pop up that allows me to insert a URL but nothing else. A friend of mine has more experience with DNN and he said he does the same thing but he has a "Create hyperlink" button. Clicking that gives a pop up that allows more choices to create a link: towards a URL, towards a page from the site or towards a file.
Is there any way I can get the same choices as him? Is this a setting I have to change somewhere? I've looked but haven't found anything so far.

Thank you for your help,

Wim

P.S.: I hope this is thr right forum for such a query. Please let me know if it isn't.

I'm surprised - I can't imagine that you're using an older version of the FTB text box editor that is shipped with dnn - but you know there is a great editor - called the FCK Editor that you can replace and it has way more features than the FTB editor -

Have you considered that - it's easy to install too, but you need FTP access to do this since it's not a module.

I don't really know which version of FTB is installed. The DNN install was done automatically by my webhost (webhost4life). I did look at the FCK Editor but I'm not sure it offers a solution. I tried the online demo here: http://www.fckeditor.net/demo
If I get it right, it goes like this: To create a link to another page on your site, you have to "Browse server" and then find the relevant page in your root folder. If so, I don't know if that'll work. I checked my root folder and the pages aren't anywhere to be found in there.
Does FCK Editor allow you to select a link destination to one of the other pages on your site in another way? Or am I missing something?

For clarification: When I click "create link" this is the pop up I get:

This is the pop up my friend gets:

It's in Dutch (I already tried switching languages, doesn't work) and the "link type" let's him chose between a URL, a page from within the portal or a file. He told me this feature was always available to him so it came with his DNN install. It looks like an easy and practical way to solve my problem but I don't know how to get the same feature as him.

Thanks again for your help, I appreciate it.
