First of all, I like the FCKEditor - I switched to it because of the great features - in particular templating and customization.

There are a few problems though.  First of all, because of it's larger GUI, its a bit of work to get it displayed properly in other modules - I'm talking core modules too.  I'm sure this will get sorted out over time.  (someone is looking at this I presume?)

The big problem is some "administrative" modules - case in point:

Admin > User Accounts > Manage Profile Properties.

If you add a Rich Text field, it gets rendered useless (because only a single line is allowed), and one can't even set the custom properties to "force the height."

Is there a quick work-aorund for this?  (Aside from changing editors!)

Cheers!

Rob,

AFAIK the issue you report has been solved, please make sure, you are using the latest version 1.0.7 of FCK editor.

I have v1.0.7 of the FCK editor, but am using with DNN v4.4.0 and have a similar problem.
I have outlined it here: http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/ForumsDotNetNuke/tabid/795/mid/2108/threadid/92023/scope/posts/Default.aspx

Any advice?

This problem was already solved. It could be a problem with small space for the editor. You can solve it by using the Custom Editor Options and setting the width/htight  to your own needs. Also, you can customize your toolbars as you want (Make it more simple to fit your space.
