I upgraded from version 3x to 4x using the instructions located at this link.  Everything went well including the database upgrade.  Now when I try to login it just goes back to the home page without really doing anything.  I know the login/pass is correct b/c when I enter in an incorrect one I get an invalid password error.

Also I have moved over the machine validationkey and decryptionkey from the old web.config to the new portal's web.config.  There is an addition to the 4x version of the machinekey setting: decryption="3DES".  I don't know if this is causing the issue or what.  It is very important I get this site up and working asap.

The site also runs entirely on HTTPS.  After the upgrade, the site certificate went invalid.  I don't think this should cause anything but I figured I might as well mention it.

Please, any light on this subject would be wonderful.  Thanks and happy holidays!
