Not sure what happened here.  I loaded up a new module definition (re-loading my custom module which shouldn't be a big deal and which does not sit on the homepage) when all of the sudden I get:

An error has occurred.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.PageLoadException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at DotNetNuke.Framework.CDefault.Page_Init(Object sender, EventArgs e) at System.Web.UI.Control.OnInit(EventArgs e) at DotNetNuke.Framework.PageBase.OnInit(EventArgs e) at System.Web.UI.Control.InitRecursive(Control namingContainer) at System.Web.UI.Page.ProcessRequestMain() --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

Now I can't login or access my site (even using the emergency login from Snapsis).  I think maybe the internet connection went down while it was uploading but still I don't know why that would be a problem.  Any thoughts?

I'm too poor for anything other than the community version

Odd.

I recompiled the .dll I was uploading and FTPed it up there.  Then I got the "server error" hiding the error details.  I refreshed a couple times and then it started working.  Not sure what's up. Maybe the server.  Works now though thankfully.
