I am very new to DNN having hired someone to build a conversion of an existing site fomr ColdFusion to DNN so that I can learn to manage content myself more easily. The new version is not yet public.

At this stage I am practicing site management on the test site.

The DNN version is 04.03.05

The Rich Text Editor is not nearly so complete or powerful as the one I am using to compose this post. Is there a way to gain some the features available on www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/ForumsDotNetNuke on my own site?

Thanks for any help.

Paul

  1. make sure you switch to 4.3.7 or later before going life due to a security issue in 4.3.5
  2. DNN.com currently uses FCKEditor, you can get the provider with installation instruction (unzip and add a config section into your web.config) from the project's download page here on DNN.com

Yes pjr, FCKEditor is perfect to do what you want ! I confirm. I have just installed FCKEditor, it is perfect. Be sure to backup your web.config file before.
